At the time, I dont think any of us had any. Do you want to bust lots of heads or feel like your part of a story. So, we as a team decided to work on a complete overhaul of Rome: Total War and call it Roma Surrectum II. Both are good, just a matter of your preference. I still like RSII but it's for people who just really like to battle endlessly and lots of macroing. Sort of like hunting and fishing where less is more. I still have it installed and love the feeling it gives you. Personally, I've played both for hundreds of hours but my favorite is EB. Roma Surrectum 2 is a full conversion mod to Rome Total war 1.5 and the predecessor to the original Roma Surrectum mod featuring unique Roman legions, new factions, units and a stunning high detailed map. You spend more time building up your provinces and calculating your next move and battles are less but more meaningful.
The graphics aren't as pretty but still looks nice, like water color or color pencil effect.
It has a great music soundtrack also.ĮB is more like a very fun interactive history lesson. It can be real fun early on but later it's hard to keep up with your buildings and vast number of stacks to protect and/or attack. RSII looks better (graphics), you make more money per turn, has larger unit sizes for larger battles, vast building options and relentless AI for tons of battles.
